Is WPC Decking Slip-resistant?
It is very dangerous to slip on the floor. If you plan to install decking by the pool or in a humid environment, you will worry that whether the decking is safe for people to use. Sunlight and rain can cause wood to crack or rot, and mold growing on the floor can also make the floor slippery. There is no need to worry about this problem when using wood-plastic decking. This durable and low-maintenance composite material will not crack and rot, and painting is not required after long-term use.
Most wood-plastic decking has moisture-proof properties. Compared with other composite materials, the wood-plastic decking products we design and manufacture have better performance in slip resistance. WPC decking looks and feels like wood, but it is actually made of high-density plastic and wood fiber. At present, some wood-plastic floors are covered with a layer of plastic, but the surface of the plastic is smoother. And the surface we use which is mixed with plastic and wood is similar to wood in texture while the surface is rougher, which further improves the anti-slip performance.
Every piece of wood-plastic deking we manufacture are made by different surface treatments on both sides. One side is smooth, and the other is grooved. Where better anti-slip properties are required, the grooved surface can be installed facing upwards. People will not slip or fall whether barefoot or walking on it with shoes.
Sometimes, slippery surface is caused by mold on the decking. Mold will not grow on wood-plastic decking, but pollen, leaves or other debris on the floor may cause mold. You can use soap and water to clean the floor regularly to keep the floor clean.
