FAQ
Find answers to common questions about Oakio WPC cladding. For detailed support, contact our team for more information.
How long does composite cladding last?
Oakio composite cladding is designed for long-term durability. We offer up to a 15-year warranty for Iniwood cladding and 25 years for Proshield capped cladding. With proper installation and minimal maintenance, it can last even longer.
How do I install composite cladding?
Please refer to our WPC Cladding Installation Guide for detailed instructions on framing, fastening, expansion spacing, and installation best practices.
What is the difference between Iniwood and Proshield cladding?
Iniwood is our traditional WPC cladding, offering excellent value. Proshield features a protective co-extruded cap that provides enhanced resistance to UV, stains, scratches, moisture, and fading, along with a longer warranty.
Will composite cladding fade over time?
Like all outdoor materials, composite cladding will undergo slight colour stabilization during the first few months of outdoor exposure. After this natural weathering period, the colour remains stable with excellent UV resistance.
Will there be colour differences between cladding boards?
Slight colour variations may occur because our cladding is manufactured in batches using recycled wood fibers. For the most consistent appearance, we recommend ordering all boards at the same time.
Do I need to paint composite cladding?
No. Oakio composite cladding comes with a finished surface that never requires painting, staining, or sealing, helping reduce long-term maintenance.
Is composite cladding heat-insulating?
Oakio composite cladding is designed primarily for exterior protection and aesthetics. It is not intended to serve as a thermal insulation material.
What standards does Oakio cladding meet?
Oakio cladding complies with international standards including CE, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, REACH, and LEED, ensuring consistent quality, safety, and environmental performance.
What colours are available?
Oakio offers 9 colours in the Iniwood collection and 12 colours in the Proshield collection, with a variety of wood-inspired finishes to suit different architectural styles.
Is Oakio composite cladding formaldehyde-free?
Yes. All Oakio composite cladding products are formaldehyde-free and lead-free, making them a safe and environmentally responsible choice.
What lengths are available?
Standard cladding lengths are 2.2 m, 2.8 m, and 3.6 m. Custom lengths are available for project orders, subject to production and shipping requirements.
How do I install the clips?
Most Oakio cladding profiles feature an interlocking design and only require screws and starter clips. Some solid cladding profiles use dedicated clips for secure installation.
Are cladding samples available?
Yes. Samples are available to help you evaluate colours, textures, and finishes before placing a project order. Please contact us to request samples.
What is the lead time for an order?
Lead time depends on the product type and order quantity. A standard 20-foot container typically takes around 20 days to manufacture, while large project orders may vary.
How much cladding fits in a 20-foot container?
Container capacity depends on the cladding profile and packaging. As a general reference, a 20-foot container holds approximately 700–1,200 m² of cladding.
